"I have been intrigued by the ability instrumental music has to evoke an emotional response in the
listener; from subtle to profound. My investigation took me from Medieval recorder music to 20th century avante garde, from Delta blues to
movie music themes. I investigated the instrumental traditions of Africa, Australia, Ireland and Japan. It was my discovery of New Age and
Ambient music in the 1990's that showed me there is an audience for my compositions. I found my voice in my search for an expression of
that which is common in us all."
